AAFC announced today details of the new $165.7-million Agricultural Clean Technology Program. There are 2 streams available under the program, based on our recent discussion with your board members they may be interested in learning more on the adoption stream:
Adoption Stream
The Adoption Stream will support the purchase and installation of commercially available clean technologies and processes with a priority given to those that show evidence of reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, and other environmental co-benefits.
Eligible activities under the Adoption Stream are of the following nature and type:
- Energy efficiency improvements
- Precision agriculture
- Bioeconomy solutions
Note: funding will be specifically allocated towards projects involving the purchase of more efficient grain dryers and fuel switching initiatives.
